Jason Luckerhoff is Assistant Professor in Social Communication and Cultural Studies at Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. He is also Associate professor in the department of linguistics, language and translation at Université Laval.

He received a B.A. in Social Communication from Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières in 2003, an M.A. in Public Communication from Université Laval in 2006 and a Ph.D. in Communication and in Education from Université Laval en 2011.

His latest research has focused on, cultural sociology, sociology of the arts, democratization of culture, the social representation of art museums and museum studies. He is also interested in methodology and epistemology for social sciences.

He has taught communication at Hautes Études Commerciales de Montréal (HEC Montréal), Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR) and at Université Laval.

He has also worked as a researcher for the Louvre and in diverse university research groups. He is also on the advisory committee of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights.

Jason Luckerhoff is the author of several articles published in leading academic journals such as Museum Management and Curatorship, Les Cahiers du Journalisme, Recherches Qualitatives, Leisure, Loisir et Société, Communication, The Qualitative Report and l'Observatoire québécois du loisir. He also has presented papers at academic conferences in Québec, Canada, and in Europe. He was also Guest Editor for Society and Leisure and Recherches Qualitatives.
